Me Behind the Lens
A short excerpt about me and what my passions are!
My name is Sophia, and thank you so much for stopping by. I’ve been photographing and documenting stories for a little over four years, and I absolutely adore what I do. Helping people understand and become passionate about photography is what I enjoy the most. I grew up in a family where everyone was a teacher, and everyone was a student. Lifting others up with their learning and their understanding is an important part of me as a photographer to pass on the passion that I have to others who aspire to learn more about photography. I hope I can and continue to help people in their journey to understand and appreciate photography.
Aside from loving to help people out, I have passions for traveling, raising awareness about human trafficking, and of course, spending time with my family, friends, and my friendly pets.
I am a full-time student at Kent State University with a major in advertising and a minor in photojournalism. When I grow up, I would love to implement storytelling into advertising! I also serve as the photo editor for a student-run publication called The Burr on campus. This is a wonderful opportunity for me to help the other photographers with their stories, and become more creative with my own.
If you have any questions or inquiries, please feel free to shoot (no pun intended) me an email! I look forward to reading your responses!
